RE: Land Between the Lakes??

We are planning on going to LBL in June. Friends had told us that Hillman Ferry was a little more family oriented. We will go with two boys ages 7 and 9. Are there enough things to keep them happy for 4 or 5 nights? Any place in the area that might be better suited for us? thanks

RE: Equipment needed to get started for 5th wheel camping

The things everyone mentioned are great but a few extras might be folding chairs, mat for outside, griddle and cooking supplies for outside (we enjoy cooking outside), wood and things for campfire just to mention a few. Another thing we have found needed is windbreaker for the cool mornings.

RE: Heavily Wood in West TN/AR/MS

All the Tennessee state parks in our area are wooded. Chickasaw, Natchez Trace, Pickwick, etc.

Simple and easy foods

I must admit we are new to camping and mostly just camp on the weekends. We have had our share of hamburgers and hot dogs but I would like somehting we can fix easy, fairly quick with few ingreditents and cook on the outside, maybe with the kids helping.
I'm not asking for recipes just ideas.
Thanks so much.

RE: Newbie with lots of questions.

madras68 where are you located? We live in West Tn down along the TN river and have just started camping ourselves. We are also excited about our new camping experience.

1st Trip

Let me begin by saying we are completely new to this, never camped before this weekend.
We bought a used 5th wheel before Christmas and have waited for the weather to get a little nicer and it finally arrived.
We spent our first 2 nights camping and loved it. My only regret is that we did not do this years ago.
We not have small grandchildren and carried 3 of them and everyone had a great time. I wish I had began when my children were small.
The campground was nice, people friendly and weather great. We can't wait till our next trip.
I have been encouraging all our friends to check out camping.
Thanks for all the great advice I find on the forums.

RE: Cleaning door and window trim

I have tried everything I could find, tire cleaner, Awesome, straight bleach, mildew remover, etc and it helps but nothing has cleaned them so far.
If anyone can find something that will work I to would like to know.
Thanks
